The first thing to know about wire rope safety is that there are different types of wires used in the industry, and all of them carry potential hazards. The most common type of wire rope is called stainless steel or galvanized steel wire rope, which can be either spiral or straight. The second type of wire rope is called high voltage electricity (HV) cable rope, which is made from aluminum alloy wires covered in a protective coating.

The third type of wire rope is called bare copper cables, which have no coating and don't have any insulation on them at all. These cables are commonly used in underground mines because they don't generate sparks when struck by tools or other objects like steel cables do.

Another type of wire rope that's used in the construction industry is called modular components (MC). This type of MC consists of individual components such as couplers, terminals and fittings that are connected together using quick-connect fittings
